Hey Kids..
Well..mother nature decided to bring tornado-like weather last Wed to Denville, NJ..forcing Mike n Jay to sit around The Rattlesnake Ranch and shoot the breeze with friends..I think Mitt and his wife still had a fun “date nite”...Benson and Jenn held court as well. Good times indeed. Rumor has it that Johnny C will have pink-colored hair this week to honor breast cancer awareness..Along with some new delicious food & drink specials bound to delight.Come see for yourself as the boys try to sing lady gaga with a straight..uh..poker face. The Acoustic fun starts around 8PM.
Always a great time at The Red Lion in New York City. Ann and the crew take such good care of us. Maybe it’s all the free lollypops? The full-band is back in the big apple on Sat the 23rd..1AM start.
Billy and the crew were on hand for our last Joe Pop’s show this past Saturday in Ship Bottom…big stage..big drinks..big light show..fun for all. Thanks to Cheryl and Jeff for always showing support. U guys are the best. Drew, what can I say buddy..one door closes and another opens. Is it me or does Monster energy drink taste way better than Red Bull?
The boys travelled to the land of the one-arm bandits (slot machines) on Sunday to play The Gypsy Bar inside the Borgata Hotel. Note to all you singers out there. Do not be tempted to take advantage of a Ben & Jerry’s 3-scoop ice cream for $3.00 special and expect to hit the high notes later..Not In the immortal words of Alyssa-Grace: “not gonna happen”. How silly of me, to think the roar of the bar was for the band..it was for when Sanchez threw a touchdown against the fins. We’re back on Sunday October 17th. 8:30PM start.

Nice turnout last Wednesday for Mike n Jay’s Acoustic road show at Rattlesnake Ranch in Denville, NJ. Valerie and Lisa. It was great meeting you guys. Next time show up a little earlier will ya?
Rumor has it that Johnny C is creating some new items on the menu that are sure to be delicious..something about 007 and chicken wings. Who knows? Maybe Uncle Johnny will even roll out some draft specials as well to keep the patrons happy cause the entertainment certainly falls short of that every week.

The only married couple who can pull off wedding pics with more metal horns then even Ronnie James Dio could pull off….

Wanna thank everyone who came out to Rattlesnake Ranch last Wednesday in Denville, NJ for some tunes, tex mex and fun..Bill held down the bottom and did an acoustic solo rendition of Winger’s “Miles Away.” Nice. Mark, Ginny, always great to hear you guys! We’re gonna go again on Wed 8/25 at 8PM. Bring your appetite, song suggestions and be ready to sing along..
When not getting locked in walk-ins, Danielle (elixir extroadinaire at Joe Pop’s/Tiki Joe’s plays acoustic guitar..She was spot-on last Fri 8/20, strumming out to Sublime’s “What I Got” when Mike n Jay graced the outdoor stage. Thanks to Jeff and Toz for bringing some folks to take in some sun, tunes and drinks..Carla, nice meeting you! Now we know our inspiration for our band name.haha.

I was hoping to meet Snooki and touch her bump in person.. but the Jersey Shore crew was inland last Friday nite. Anyway, there was plenty of fist-pumping at The Beachcomber in Seaside Heights, NJ. Why do drunk women feel compelled to steal my shakers? Thanks to Mike and the crew for an awesome Summer 2010 season! We will be back!

Hey Kids..
What tastes like bud, funnel cakes and gyro’s with a little pinch of cover band? That’s right..Trippin Carla at The Feast of Mt. Carmel last Wed nite. I thought it was going to be a chocolate festival but apparently it was a sugary get together for the lord..oh well. I had way too many body of Christ shots to last the entire service but with a little prayer and red bull..I soldiered on…thanks to Mike for taking such good care of us…
Coolest bartenders in LBI? Sara & Danielle at Tiki Joes (outside section of Joe Pops in Ship Bottom). They were on point keeping the folks hydrated during the Acoustic Trippin Carla set last Friday..very cool summer vibe at Tiki Joes they got going on..Guess we can’t pay off the complaining neighbor about the noise with lollypops cause Will ate them all.. Mike n Jay are back at Tiki Joes on Friday August 6th from 3-7. Maybe Sara and D can do a piccolo and arm chords performance?? Haha.
Ship Bottom got a double shot of the boys with a full-band show later that nite. Cheryl..you are always the biggest Jovi fan! Jeff and the Big Mike crew..always great to see you guys. We are proud to be part of the annual Gibby’s Run every year and last Saturday was no exception. Thanks to the acoustic duo Chuckle patch for their musical styling’s as always. Who knew there were so many world cup fans in Denville?
Excellent pre-gaming for the evenings Rattlesnake Ranch, full-band performance in Denville. Some die-hard, Gibby’s Run folks were in full force..Yeah, they were the loud, just-over-the-legal-limit, blurry figures in yellow..Kate played her Scottish, interpretative tambourine like nobody’s business. Happy b-day to Annie! Table 9 truly rocks..Coolest part of the nite was Mike winning one of the Gibby’s 50/50 raffles and he donated his winnings to their Scholarship fund..Some said he can now go to heaven..I said he just got to go to the back of the line into hell..haha.

Thanks to everyone who got their Cinco on at Rattlesnake Ranch in Denville. Ginny was awesome as usual. Mike and Jay have moved their Acoustic duo to Wednesday's starting on 5/12. Fun sarts at 7PM.
Big Mike's benefit on Fri 5/7 was a blast. Thanks to Jeff and Linda for the invite. A great reminder of what's important in life. As long as a loving family is by your side, you can handle anything...Mike..stay strong.

Hey Trippers..
Thanks to the boys at the Delta Psi chapter at U Penn for a "formally" great time. Hopefully, Garren is not still "wandering" around campus. Who knew that Andrews excelled at the human shot put? Rambling House in Woodlawn, NY..Great food, staff and drinks as always..My Irish eyes are smiling..but a little blood shot. Is that the whiskey or lax smoking law enforcement?
Shows this week: Wed 5/5...Cinco De Mayo at The Rattlesnake Ranch in Denville, NJ. Trippin Carla all-stars featuring the golden-haired and golden-piped Ginny who will kick off the nite singing songs about waiting for trains and oral treats in movie theaters..Hmmm. Hopefully, Jay will come up with some clever material to cover when he shows up later. Fun starts at 8PM.
Friday 5/7, A great time for a great cause. The Big Mike Benefit Concert in Manahawkin, NJ. 8PM start.
Sat 5/8, the boys are LBI bound as they pop their summer cherry at the one and only Joe Pop's in Ship Bottom...10PM start. I wonder if Tino bought a sonic ice cream machine yet..Ahhh. One can dream. The sweaty, pop-rocking, fist-pumping, cigarette-lighter (or cell phones for all you techie folks)holding fun starts at 10PM.
Question..If a very drunk person gets tossed from the stage..slams into an amp..then falls onto a pedal board in a room full of loud people, does it make a sound?
